Wibrace is adopting a forward-looking approach that moves beyond today’s products and embraces the next generation of broadband wireless access. Future developments of sub-11GHz wireless technologies, satellite wireless broadband technologies as well as efficient low-cost exploitation of the millimetre-wave bands are addressed. Such technologies are a necessary part of the global wired/wireless network architecture capable of offering rich media content to users in any geographical location. Such a vision necessitates a strong research orientation and to this end the forum has established links with a number of key European research projects in the field.
Wibrace is also hosting and promoting an alliance of different actors to help this technology reach the public and facilitate high-speed access worldwide. Wibrace is a focal point and a unique place of discussion to identify and address all key aspects of this rapidly evolving domain.
